Making The Cuts On Your Crown Molding.
Once we begin to make the cuts on our crown molding we are going to show you via youtube the various ways to do it. There is the old fashion way, upside down and backwards. Then there is the newer easier way, using our jig. Obviously we are going to be biased towards our product. Not because we invented it, but due to the fact that it makes everything fast, easy, accurate and perfect, every time. Did we also mention that even if you are a complete rookie, right out of the shipping box you can be cutting crown molding in under 2 minutes?
The old fashion way of cutting crown molding:
A few things to note here on this old fashioned way: trying to hold the molding perfectly up to the fence while making the cut. There is an assumption that the molding has a perfectly straight back edge. Another assumption is that every corner is 90 degrees, not typical in any home. Performing even a good to average coping cut is one of the most difficult cuts to make in woodworking, let alone a perfect one.
